OVERVIEW.png

Event Overview:

As the country advances toward the  realisation of National Health Insurance (NHI), accurate and standardised coding systems such as ICD and ICHC are fast becoming the backbone of sustainability financing models.

Coding informatics is critical in healthcare.  Assigning standardised current codes such as ICD-10 and CPT 4 to patient diagnoses, procedures, and other information is key throughout the administration process where codes are used for billing, data analysis, and quality improvement.

The rapid advancement of technology presents significant opportunities for growth and development.  However, a discernible gap exists between the demand for skilled coding informatics professionals and the current supply.
