Corporate Membership

Membership Who should join? Annual Fee
Fellows
  • Individuals on whom the Association wishes to bestow a special honour in recognition of outstanding services to the Association and/or of exceptional contributions to Health Informatics in accordance with the objectives of the Association.

Members
  • An honours degree in medicine, computer science, engineering or equivalent qualification in a field related to Health Informatics, and who have had a minimum of one years experience in Health Informatics to the satisfaction of the council.
  • A three year post matriculation qualification in a field related to Health Informatics, and who have subsequently, for a period of not less than two years, had experience in Health Informatics to the satisfaction of the council.
  • Had at least three years experience in Health Informatics, to the satisfaction of the council.

Retired Members
  • Members who are in good standing and who have attained full retired status, even though they may still be employed in a temporary capacity.

Non-Corporate Membership

Membership Who should join? Annual Fee
Associate Members
  • Individuals who have an interest in Health Informatics but do not qualify for corporate membership on the basis of qualifications and/or experience.
 R120.00
Corresponding Members
  • Individuals who are either Members or Associate Members, but who are temporarily absent from South Africa for a period of not less than three years.
 R80.00

Instituional Membership

  • Those organizations who are active in Health Informatics or related fields to the satisfaction of Council.
